My 1st Planet Angel was back in 2001 when it was at Imperial Gardens, Camberwell.  I already knew a great group of people who went to Planet Angel so when I first arrived it felt like a home from home really (although my home has a lot less sawdust on the floor than Imperial Gardens!).  The atmosphere was so friendly and there was always something interesting going on, from people doing ballroom dancing in the chill out area to people giving impromptu lessons on where to find all the pockets in their combats!

Jenni From the first time I went to Planet Angel I couldn’t resist getting slightly involved in the  behind the scenes stuff.  I always ended up helping to prepare the bowls of fruit, and often helped to hand it out as well.

After a few years of partying at Planet Angel I realised I wanted to do something to be more involved, but I didn’t really want to work at the party.  So, I got involved with Planet Angel *Chilled*.  From August 2004 I worked on the craft table at *Chilled* and got to spend my time sticking things with glue, colouring in and playing with glitter.  What more could anyone want from a Sunday, really?!

Working at *Chilled* was a fantastic time and it honestly changed me loads!  My confidence grew so that I wasn’t the quiet one in the corner anymore, and I built up some really strong friendships with people, and some of their kids too!

After *Chilled* I started to miss being involved in Planet Angel, so in June 2006 I started working at the parties.  I opted for the ‘front of house’ team and I love it!  It’s great to be there when people arrive and welcome them to the party with a big smile.

Outside of Planet Angel, I work for a Not-for-Profit company called Renaisi, who are a regeneration consultancy.  I organise training courses and events for people who work within the regeneration sector.  I don’t know much about regeneration myself, but I’m finding it really interesting and I’m learning loads.

At Planet Angel you’ll find me taking your money, stamping your hand, selling you pretty things or dancing somewhere near the front of any of the rooms!
