Thank you everyone for a fantastic party! I'm having a break from crewing to renew my energies and so I'm particularly grateful to those people who stepped in to help at the last minute. The sound in the Meltdown Room was noticeably better on Friday, I like the new more space arrangement. Not so sure about the Funky Room, putting the DJs out of sight has lost the room's focus. Lots of good music, anyway and I got a real kick out of giving out fruit for the first time in years! |

Don't normally post messages anywhere on the net but October Planet was just something else.
Was one of those unexpected nights. I was going, then I wasn't, then I was etc. Lots of friends who'd said they'd come didn't but that'd never stop me as you can talk to anyone at Planet.
In the end I hardly saw the people I went with, but made 2 new friends - big hugs to Squdge and Neonpink.
Also to Mona (from Brittany) and Mel (lady in orange).
Live violin with Morrighan's Requiem - I thought my head was going to explode with joy. Hope I didn't scare the violinist too much. All I meant to say was "that was excellent - thank you". What came out was probably incoherent and over-excited appreciation along the lines of <.?"{];best.'>".;}={]-}>/'"thing,.:.'::"{{;'\[.,?>.,ever!!!!

My first Planet Angel and it lived up to its reputation! A great venue, great people and pretty damn fine music... The breakbeat room kept me entertained for many hours and the main room allowed plenty of crazy dancing to take place!

Not sure if this is the right place as it says in the rules not to plug another website. However as I was leaving the party in September I mentioned to Angel that I was off to live in China and she said it'd be cool to write something about it for the website, so I hope this way of doing it is acceptable. I have some bas news...no im not ill or anything...but sadly as the way things are i will not be seeing any of you for a little while...not atleast until January. The reason being: i will be starting my IT course in November and will not have any money to use, which means for 3 months i cant even go out...not fair i know but thats how life is...But hopefully a new year, a fresh start for all and i should be back and kissing and hugging everyone again lol...
I just hope you guys do not forget me lol...BTW Pete im sorry i cannot help out at the October PA, i really wanted to but times are hard...
Anyways see you guys in three months...though if things change i definately will come to atleast the December PA if i can.

Well, last time was AWESOME! Probably one of the best PA's yet!!
I don't know how many of you know Ali (He usually wears an orange hat), well, I bought him a glowstick and he didn't crack it until about 1:30. Before he did crack it he told us all to come to the trance room. So along we went and the music was timed perfectly, it was building up during which he was slowly waving it around and as the music started to properly build up he slowly moved it above his head and then just as the music dropped he cracked it! Man, that totally set the night off! : D
Yeah, apart from the fact that I had an epileptic attack (I'm not even epileptic) towards the end (the lights at about 5:40 were just too much, but I was fine after 2 min of sitting down in the next room) it was awesome. It's amazing when you're sitting down in the Funky Lounge and you look across at the dance floor and see the whole crowd jumping as one to the beat of the music. Gotta love it :D
Hi to Ali, Kyle, Rafe, Alan (who sadly couldn't be with us this time), Domnic, Spazz, the guy with the fairy wings...forgotten your name now, the couple with whom I was talking with in the Funky Lounge (if you don't remember my me by my name, I'm the one who gave you each a present )...aaaand all the others whose names I've forgotten.

Well, what can i say.....last party was, well, one of ineffable beauty and had an almost electric quality to it, as if the air itself was charged with happiness and joy. Thank you all for the great time!!! hopefully ill see you all again in a few weeks!

One ticket for sale - Dorset/Devon/London/Ipswich... £70
Hi all,
I've just had a friend pull out of Glade this year - and he's left me the unenviable job of trying to give his ticket to a good home. Hence, I'm here!
I'm in Dorset today and am then heading down to Devon for 2 days (Exeter/Totnes area). It's then back to Dorset (Shaftesbury/Blandford) and up to London and on to Ipswich on Wed evening. It's then back to London and down to Newbury on Thursday.
Hence, if anyone still needs a ticket and lives near any of the above places (or in between them) then I am more than happy to deliver the ticket. It seems like such a waste to not have anyone use it and all I'm asking for it is £70 (i.e. I'm losing £13 AND delivering it - now that's service for you!!).
Hope I can make someone's day by passing the ticket onto them,

As tragic as what happen yesterday is, life must go on. That's what these terrorists want; to scare us and to disturb our normal lives. I'm hoping that Londoners will be largely unaffected by this because this will mean they (terrorists) will have failed in the larger picture. Props to the emergency services that did an excellent job in helping those affected. This is what they've been training for and they pulled it off wonderfully.
As far as the party is concerned, yes, it should defiantly go on. Also, the tubes are back up and running with a few delays and cancellations, but I don't think that should be too much of a problem, because in my experience most of the people start arriving at 12am + (after the tubes stop working).
Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the attacks yesterday. |
