They totally rocked the late-afternoon/evening portion of *Chilled* - After a very stressful few weeks at work the Healing workshiop with Andi & Indigo followed by bigfatchoons from the Templeheads boys was exactly the tonic I needed.

Thanks for the great tunes form ALL the DJ's I don't think I've enjoyed the music sooooo much at PA for a long time. I'm not great on who was playing when but I really enjoyed the music in the funky lounge more than uaual too..got me a real groove on!
Loved the idea of projection in the front bar, I haven't noticed it before, that's new right? Nice idea, I like to have something to look at while I'm chilling in the sofas...kind of brough the room alive a little more too
Thanks for everyone who said nice thing about the Happening to me, I had so much fun! I hope that people were saying nice things to Arif and the others girls too cos they were all stunning. Was really nice to do something so special with people outside my normal crowd. Beautiful girls all of them I was proud and honored to be up there with them.
Thanks to Ninja for asking me to do it with her, and I finally got myself a new pair of wings! Very beautiful ones at that. :D *chuffed*
Rode on the wave of excitement and energy from it all through the night.

Traditionally at new years I take stock of my life and make some resolutions. So probably now is the right time to finally write the planet angel guestbook entry I?ve been meaning to.
I still don?t get how planet angel works. I don?t get how you can gather together what, by day, is a disused couple of rooms under a train track and make what planet angel makes. I don?t see how you can take 200 people, a sound and light system and somehow make it feel like I?ve invited you all back to my living room because I feel that much at home. I don?t see how you can find that every fourth person you meet somehow sparkles whether it?s because they?ve just played a blinding set, brought round the fruit bowl, dazzled you with poi, given you the last of the water from their bottle or knocked over the jenga tower whilst pulling out the first brick. You see I wondered why after I?d only been three or four times I felt like I already knew loads of you. Then I worked out it?s because if I wandered up and chatted to any of you I don?t think it?d be much different to talking to a friend.
I?ve met my best mate and some others I think I might just know forever. All this and I haven?t yet been to more than a handful of PA?s.
This year I?m going to keep one new year?s resolution and that?s simply to keep going.
I don?t know how you make it but I?m really glad you do.

The Party crackled! Everything looked, felt and sounded more like Planet than Planet ever has
If I was a bit lowkey, twas due to extraordinary occurences during the day and I was shellshocked... but, as so wonderfully and beautifully *always* the case, my huge and gorgeous PA family and all the new friends I made healed my mind and eased my body... Bless you all for being *you*!!
The tribute to Peelie at the end was absolutely fitting and to see the joyous response of *every*one made my heart feel even fuller... How perfect! How Planet!

I'm proud to be as much a part of it as everyone else in the building.

First an appology for all the people out there wondering where all the photos are for the last few PA's, I have been going through a pretty hard time in my personal life really so finding time to prepare the web pages has been difficult to find. However I have been spending the last week trying to get up to date so you should see them soon. Looking through the pics of the last few months has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster as most of them contain pics of my ex but they have also brought back wonderful memories of fun times with fantastic people. If it wasn't for PA and the people involved with it I wouldn't have struggled to get through the last few months so a big thank you for that - you all know who you are.
Looking to the future, PA on friday is looking like it could be the best one of the year so far, with all my favorite DJ's playing the main room it's going to be a blinder.

Hey Esther,
John Peel was an enormous positive influence on me to, he was the reason I started a band and got into music in the first place. I met him years ago and he was genuine and kind, he showed me that real people aren?t afraid to be honest and genuine, even if they are ?in the spotlight?. Mr Peel was for me a role model who helped shape my interests beliefs and values and it?s those interests beliefs and values that are at the heart of my involvement in Planet Angel and basically, why I helped create it.
So yeah, if I may, I?ll join you in celebrating the life of Mr John Peel at The Party, it feels absolutely appropriate to do so.

I was thinking (yeah OK, maybe people don't expect that of me... just usually smiles and hugs and friendship *grins*)...
John Peel is partly responsible for the success of World Music and a lot of other musical and philosophical influences that our collective ethos hinges on and is enriched by... not only was he an influence in this way but he had a huge sense of family and was a welcoming, down-to-earth, enthusiastic and friendly person
Instead of going to his funeral, on the same day I'm gonna come to PA as usual, to celebrate the life of a man who has influenced me from childhood and helped to make me open to creativity and love and friendship and all kinds of music...
I might look sad on the night... but I hope it won't be for long and all my Angelic friends will join me in a boogie for the Peelster
Rest In Peace... or have a good ole chuckle and a bop in Heaven, Peelie... you're an Angel now xxx

Hey and hi to all PA'ers, got 2 days to go! cant bluddy wait. but might be stuck workin fri til bout 11 or 12 & then to make it worse back at 9 in the morning, so if anyone see's me passed out on a sofa or somewhere give me a quick wake up call ;-)
Well what can i say this will be 10 in a row for me! cant believe it, know loads of ya, less know me! i think its because when i hit the dance floor i go all quite and nervous and my hearin is crap for only 26 so generally dont chat too much! Well what else to go on bout, well lets hope that I can be there this fri probably sat by the time i get here

These three n half weeks have gone far too slow, i think that i'm looking forward to this planet even more than ever before! The music was mindblowing last time with 'the Drill' and 'Revolution' etc (especially like the introduction of more hard house n hard trance), cant wait!

I live in Orpington and go for regular rides in the Garden of England and around the Kent coast. It's way too long since I signed the guestbook but just wanted to say what a fabulous time I had at Planet Angel Chilled on Sunday. The planting workshop was a lovely idea - thanks to James and Zuzy, even Heather "death to all foliage" managed to pot a pansy. Indigo's chakra workshop was wonderful, very beneficial and just what I needed. The holistic workshops add so much to Chilled and the room has a much warmer atmosphere since the blackout curtains came down. Thanks to all the hard working organisers for making Sunday afternoons and evenings so much fun! |
