wax equestrian ur set was blinding u supplied the perfect tunes to start my PA experience. i no this has been sed a 1000 times but it was the best night of my life, just being able to look around the room and catch the eye of the people around u and look at the smiles on their faces made me realise what planet angel's all about

There are so many events on this August bank holiday, that when we tried to arrange a bank holiday Chilled we found not only were most Party People not around, but also 90% of the Chilled crew and DJs had tickets booked! So yeah, it is a shame as we would have loved to, but not possibe in this instance. |

A moment of pure magic ...
On what seemed like the hottest night of the year, I was walking through the Chill Bar with someone very special. The music in there had been calm and soothing all night, as I had come to expect, but this particular time, Dream a little dream of me started playing. We looked at each other, held each other close and danced a slow dance, staring into each others eyes, singing along quietly to the beautiful words.
I have no idea who was DJing at that moment, but whoever it was, thank you. That was a moment of pure magic in an extraordinary night. |

I must agree totaly with Elma. Although i am reasonably new to PA and have only been a few months, i am totally in love with the place and people. It is a break in my month and something i look forward to every month, as soon as ones been im looing forward to the next. As proud hippy rocker i find that although it is a total music scene change going to PA i still feel as comfortable as i do in my usual hang outs. That for me is an amazing feeling. Thank you to everyone who makes PA what is it, especially Pete and Angel, but it includes everyone because if it wasnt for the good hearted ravers the place would never be as amazing as it is. I LOVE YOU ALL!

Re the last 2 newsletters :
Since my 1st Planet Angel (the 2nd party at Imperial Gardens) I've met and gotten to know so many excelent people and made (I hope !) some life long friends and for that alone I'm eternally thankful.
I also think it's important that there are new arrivals all the time as it keeps PA from becoming cliquey, but agree when it gets too crowded, it becomes impossible to meet new-comers and pass on the friendly vibe. It's a hard balance, but I'm sure it can be acheived.
Everything changes,I thought it would never be the same again when PA moved from Imperial Gardens to The Arches....wrong! Everything changes, it's not a bad thing and it's life after all. I had a chance to interview Angel last year and the word which occured most often was 'HONESTY'.This is what sets PA apart from other clubs, this isn't a career money making excercise, it's a life choice for the people involved and they have total conviction. I have huge respect for what Angel and Pete have done and acheived so far.
Things will change that's life and Planet Angel is no exception, it is still the only party I will not miss and I'm still meeting new people .......All life happens here births, marriages and deaths
I think that's pretty incredible for a club/party and so many of us have been a of part of all of that and been affected by it, the world needs more of this positvity..........and this is from someone who is mostly there to dance to the best DJ's in town.
It confirms for me how I've chosen to live my life.

Rather than a 'socialising area' - which we like to think happens all over the Parties - we are thinking of making a big 'meeting point' sign to put up near the end of the Big Bar by the fire exit. That's where you'll find paper and pens (for swapping numbers with new friends) and the history wall etc and it's not too noisy so it seems like a good area to choose, maybe this will help by giving a point to meet people...? (You'll also find a lot of us Crew hanging around there which might also be useful!) If you've got any further suggestions (very welcome!) please email us directly at party@planetangel.net or find one of us on Friday and maybe we'll get a couple of minutes to chat! To what Angel and Pete said in the newsletter, I would say it did take me a while to get my head round it, but I am now understanding the vibe, and have since the second party I went to in March. Planet Angel is about the crowd and they do feel the vibe, it just takes some people, like myself, a little bit of time to catch onto the vibe when you've never experienced anything like it before.
To all who are going to the next party, I hope to see you there. I'll be a nutter with the dragons on his shirt on the stage with glow sticks. Keep the vibe flowing in this wonderful place.

Two things. Firstly a massive THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who organises and goes to the PA parties for making them so special. I've been coming since February and it would take a lot to make me miss one - can't wait for this Friday!
Secondly with regard to Matrix 4's comments and Angel and Petes' response in the July newsletter, as a newcomer who does not come with or know a large group of friends at PA and who is keen to get to meet and make friends with lots of interesting partygoers I would welcome a "Socialising Area" perhaps in the Chillout room in the corner by the garden door where eveyone who's there is up for saying Hi and having a friendly chat. I'm not trying to suggest that people aren't like that anyway or that it wouldn't happen in other areas, but perhaps this would make it even easier to get that mixing of minds that is so special.
I'll be there on Friday night wearing black with yellow tinted glasses on and giving it some on the dancefloor so if anyone wants to say "Hi" I'd love to meet you!

A lot of people won't like what we're about to say, but in respect for Pete and Angel we feel we should speak out for many other PA party goes.
When we started coming to PA over 3 years ago PA was a place where you knew where you stood with people and people respected the enironment they were in and cherished it. In particular we felt that PA was a place for like minded people, a place where you could walk up to almost anyone and chat and chat and chat. However, the last few main parties at the Arches venue have slowy evolved to feel frustratingly segregagted (almost cliquee) as if 70% of the people there don't even bother to break out of the group they've come in and sometimes look at you as if you are weird if you sit down and introduce your self.
As a group of dedicated ravers we pleed that you think about how easily raves can diverge, lately, for PA, as an alternative Friday night out for the RnB/ garage teeny bop crowd (increasing in their number). A generation of The Warp (Drome) educated are becoming out numbered, please lets try and keep the vibe.

It is over 18's for the Friday night parties...but if any of you haven't been or havent heard there's always Planet Angel Chilled on the last Sunday of every month! It a wicked all ages kinda event, and although under 18's do need to be accompanied by a guardian, they very welcome. If you havent been you really should, it' a lovely way to end the weekend. Rabbit - Actually, you *need* to be 18. The venue security can be tight on this and frequently check ID. It's a shame to see people not get in just 'cos they didn't bring their ID. The party can't do anything about this, except mention the need on the newsletters, which they do. |

Thanks to everyone for making my first pa so amazing, even though i did have to work the next morning - was well worth it.
Loved being surrounded by so many people with beautiful souls, special love to john,kate and all the other wonderful angels who smiled at me that night.
