Planet Angel reminds me of a vase of beautiful flowers - colours, scents, nature at it's most beguiling. The mix of a thousand gardens in one place.
And then I notice the vase, the thing which holds all the flowers together. The care and thought that went into the shaping. The held breaths as it is fired in the furnace, hoping that it won't crack; that the flowers will look their beautiful best.
To the magnificent potters of Planet Angel - thank you for all your hard work. This is one appreciative flower.

I thought I'd register my appreciation of the whole PA community in the guestbook. Some people I see more regularily, some people I look forward to seeing every month. Then there's always the gems that pop up unexpected and make my night. There's so much to love at PA but most the time I'm on the funky dance floor; the music's found some deep spot, which pushes up from my gut and out all parts of my body. Everybody's smiling. But the very best thing is dancing with another PA person, whether man or woman, sexy, silly, funky, hardcore, doesn't matter. I feel different emotions for each, but they're all cool. Some people think that's mad but thank goodness I know it's not just me. See some of you at Chilled, and some next month! Michael x o |

I went to my first planet angel night last friday, had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was amazing, met some brilliant people, wrote some poetry, did some painting, danced to some wicked music, in general had brilliant night, was disappointed the night had to end and i had to return home. I love the new arrangement of the first room at the Arches, it's so much better with the new chill out areas and plants, more welcoming and less like and ordinary bar. I had a great time chatting to loads of people on Friday, although the music didn't quite do it for me in the main room; never mind, the music is only one part of it - the lovely atmosphere was still there and all the lovely people! Looking forward to Chilled on Saturday. |

Yeh Guys. I was gonna come to the last planet angel big party... I had the day off specially booked, everything was organised nicely... Then my Motorbike broke down on the way back from Uni and i was stranded in the rain most of the night instead... and ended up ringing up work that morning to say I would come in cos i had missed angel!! Nightmare!
But i have transfered that day off to the saturday after angel and i will be there for sure on the 13th!!
I have waited along time for this and i think its gonna be worth it by all accounts!
I am hopefully meeting a lovely lady i met at last whirl-y-gig *fingers crossed she can make it*

Thanks to all involved. Took a mate for his first party, he was immediately taken care of by Molly & the other Care Bears. That's a wonderful idea, pretty much unique to PA. If only other organisers would take a leaf out of the PA party manual. See you soon

Havent been for a couple of months so i was suprised by the change of decor & seating arrangements but it works really well. The music seemed alot funkier which was cool by me & the chill bar even played a bit of reggae which was s suprise. :-)
It was great to meet so many friends, James, Johanna, Oli, Becky, Tilly, Crunchy, Glenn, Arif, Elliot, Adam & last but not least all the Petes!!! :-)

What an awesome party! The decor gets better and better and the funky room drapes were just beautiful. Thanks to whoever thought of putting the main room stages in the centre - it was a dance floor rather than a corridor! PA is back to its full-on magic again.

Sometimes during a party I get to stand for a while behind the speakers watching the passion and positivity swirling and moving. It's an almost spiritual feeling that fly's in the face of negativity. For me, watching you guys perform at the last party marked the beginning of a new era both personally and for the parties. The passion, commitment, talent and sheer positive energy was as intoxicating as the music you performed for us all.
I was once in the office of a record company when the A&R director said "listen to this guy, he's gonna be huge, it's really intelligent dance music" he gave me a demo CD by a bloke called BT. Although very talented (and a nice guy) I think BT just got gazumped!
For the record I would like to stake the first prophetic claim to your success. Respect and thanks for playing for us!

It was my first PA soba and I had just as amazing time - or better because I didn't have to recover when I got home. Since May 2001, I've introduced quite a few party people to PA, but Sunday was special, because for the first time I'd persuaded my daughter(Friday) and granddaughter(Poppy) to come along and maybe understand why it's been so important to me. They do now.They'll both be back next month and Friday might even join me for the next grown-up party.This is quite staggering,'cos for the last few years she's been a real Saffy,disapproving of her ageing hippy parent's lifestyle - no,I'm being unfair, she's been condescendingly patronising. Now she's a convert and asked me to send special thanks to Issy for the best Sunday she's had this year! LoL from me too xx |

HI. LOLLY HERE. AKA LAURA FROM OZ. I'm off home after 2.5 yrs of the uk and I wanted to leave you with a parting message.
Planet Angel was a point of my awakening. Y'know what I learnt? That people all want the same thing.. to be loved. Planet Angel allowed me to BE. From that experience, I made it my quest to BE all the time, even outside of those partying walls. 10 months on from my first PA, I have grown and learnt to love even more than I thought was possible.
All you beautiful people are in my heart forever and I love you endlessly. May Planet Angel continue to teach people that we are all the same, we all want and deserve love. Nothing but.

Great to see so many happy smiley faces, and had a great banging session (ahem) with 5 or so other drummers in the funky room. friday the 13th was my first planet angel and i can only say one thing, it was amazing I came with two of my friends jon and claire they introduced me to loads of people that were all very friendly and happy. Ive been to another club that was a bit like this for quite a while and thought that nothing could beat it, how wrong was i! I loved the games room and played connect 4 and jenga which i lost but enjoyed it any how. I felt very at ease and even wrote a poem on the big canvas. Thanks very much 4 a great evening every one. I shall be back to every planet angel from now on.

At risk of repeating myself, Friday's Planet Angel was the best yet! Lots of us had missed one or two and it was lovely to be back with old friends and new. Storming music as always, the garden was a lovely breath of fresh air. I love the way the games room/dance floor was draped in white, that was a beautiful touch. Ben dropped in unexpectedly with two friends new to PA - they loved it, they are used to the commercial west end type club. Best moments: sitting in the games room when Lee suddenly exclaimed, "Lego, they've got Lego, there's Lego over there!" and Siva discovering glowsticks and playing happily with one like a kid with a new toy. The Planet Angel magic never ceases to win new friends. Thanks, Pete and Angel. |

What another fantastic night. Huge thanks to Pete and Angel for creating such an amazing venue and night...and of course to all the party people for being yourself. That's the first time i have been in 2 months and i was so excitted about going back and seeing all my friends, was like my first time. I spent ALL night on the dance floor, the music was wikkid...long may it continue.

Have been going to planet Angel for about 7 months now and we have had such a fantasic time. Since moving to the new location I have been dissappointed with the sound system in the breaks room and where the music is not as good as it used to be. I am so sad about this because we were always guaranteed a fantastic night out at least once a month which kept me going till the next one!
Dont get me wrong, the people are always fantastic but I feel like I have to say something as I need to dance mmy @rse off to the music I love and I dont want to loose Planet Angel. Come on Guys keep it up!! |

Planet Angel Chilled at Shillibeer's last Sunday was excellent. Nice to sit out in the courtyard, lots of friendly people to chat to and all sorts of things going on, from crafts to Playstation and we loved Glenn's excellent photos. Ben bought poi and plucked up the courage to have a go in public! Congratulations Pete and Angel on finding a really good new venue and making Sundays truly chilled. |

Hey Peeps! Am so Glad that after all the deliberate thoughts of not going to PA that things changed on Friday morning and I just couldn't keep away.
All the magic that has been waining for me came back in one full whoop. There was just something about Planet Angel this month that was extra extra special, and that was even before my wonderful if challenging babe asked me to spend the rest of my life with him!
There seemed to be something different about PA. I felt as though there was less decor ( but just right) or something ( though I'm sure it wasn't that), I think maybe the Atches have finally taken on the planet Angel vibe into thier walls...It feels like home again.
I tried to dance, but my feet weren't doing it, but the music just felt part of the whole thing anyway...magical
What a wonderful idea for the happening...truely interactive and truley encompassing the PA style and soon to be legend. (I've already started roping likeminded Brummies into the PA ethos, and hopefully will be arranging a coach down soon).
It was wonderful to see people taking part in somethig with such huge grins all over thier faces.
I felt somewhat 'naked' without my usual costume attire, but a huge thanks to KAYE for your kind and thoughful words to me, you made me realise something, which also made the night very special.
Pete and Angel, thanks again. Everytime something new and more wonderfl happens at PA, I feel insired and amazed.

I think Sly just about summed up the night for me. Another incredible party [storming set Sly :-)] and the *best* happening I think I've seen at any party. All the performers were wonderful, the drummers kicked up a fantastic beat, the atmosphere was electric and the vibe and the crowd were sensational. Hopefully there will be another similar Happening in the future when perhaps my poi skills will be good enough for me to join in.
Great to see the punters giving something back.

Possibly the most enjoyable Planet Angel I have ever had... it goes from strength to strength. The Happening was incredible - I have never seen such a total expression of everything Planet Angel is about, so exemplified in *such* a short space of time.

Just wanted to say THANKS to Pete and Angel for a fantastic Chilled yesterday. The new venue is gorgeous, the garden was exactly what was needed. Spent most of the day spinning poi and hence missed pretty much anything that happened inside... apologies to the DJs and musicians!

I have recently performed at the rhythums of the world festival in Hitchin, after the second gig of the day I met Andy and shelley who gave me this address. They were really lovely people and I think that The Funky Monks would fit in well with such like minded people.
