We’ll be celebrating 10 years of Planet Angel! Join us for our biggest gathering yet...

We've thrown over 100 parties since 1999… when we asked people why they came* most listed the excellent music, but even better was that 100% listed the friendly people… and, 95% said they'd benefited from the friendly social vibe. As a social business, we reckon that's quite an achievement and definitely worth celebrating!
And so, exactly Ten years to the day since the first Planet Angel, we've created the X Party; it's a real extravaganza packed with excellent music, creativity and performance.

There's a heady feeling of collaboration and reunion in the air… combined with a lingering sense of wonderment that a crazy idea, back then would become the reality that is Planet Angel today. And the reason it has, is due to the contributions of so many people over the years. We'd like to truly thank everyone who's helped shape this wonderful thing, whether you've crewed or performed, or come to party and help spread the word…

Right now there are teams of people working on unique interactive art projects, there's a killer DJ line up including the first ever Planet Angel DJ, the original and current Residents, plus some of the most popular guests from over the years, all preparing special sets! And… two really extraordinary live bands…

The Colosseum is twice the size of our usual venue with three spacious areas of music, a lovely river view bar, a terrace (yes you can smoke there :) and a chilled-out friendly atmosphere, it's a fantastic space for us to turn into Planet Angel.

The Meltdown Room is nearly 100% Resident stock… Guest DJ U-4-IC was the first ever Planet Angel DJ, and a Resident for many years, as was Tequila! Guest DJ Mark Robinson and current Residents Jurrane and Sly One (who are enjoying Trance Chart success right now!) Join forces to deliver the best in uplifting trance through progressive house and a touch of psy trance… This could only be improved by an outstanding live trance band… Were you at the Scala Party when CERN brought the house down with a storming live performance? Well, we’re very pleased to announce we’ve got them back for this special celebration! Hear their classics and new material live at 2:30!

The Funky Lounge has a wicked line-up stuffed with the finest quality DJs and a very surprise announcement… Ever popular guest DJs B Fly and Disco Patrick cover funky and heavy breaks, while ex-Resident Therapy and Resident Ade Laugee get funky housey leading to breakbeat and drum & bass… Enhancing that line up is difficult, but not if you can announce a live performance, by a DJ who constantly rocks the Funky Lounge… Cellardore is teaming up with melodic rock group Arcane Roots to give you a one off live performance of Cellardore's music. Expect live guitars, drums, vocals and saxophones… See this unique collaboration at 1:45.

The newly created Ibiza Bar with its head nodding foot tapping Ibiza style music policy is the perfect get-ready-to-go-for-it, chill-for-a-bit or have a boogie space! Along with Resident Dr. F we’re very pleased to present a line up of uber popular guest DJs: the prolific Paygan, the inimitable Twisted Kitten, the very cool Shageee and the king of the Ibiza vibe, DJ Custard…

Art and creativity is in abundance... and win 2 tickets to New Year's Eve!

Firstly, we’re delighted to have ordered 200 special friendship bracelets to be given away during the X Party… The bracelets are being especially hand made for Planet Angel by girls in the Ganga III orphanage in India… The orphanage is a project that Ana – a long time Planet Angel regular is involved with. As a social organisation we thought it would be great way to help the girls and emphasise the social nature of Planet Angel… You can read the full story of the orphanage here. We’re also having a Friendship Bracelet Workshop at the X Party so if you can make one yourself to give to a friend!

We’re very pleased to present Memory Glow – Helen and Deirdre have been collecting your memories and are turning them into a constellation of hanging lanterns for you to explore and enjoy. Wander among slowly spinning planets of all shapes and sizes, each glowing with its own inner light, and see if you can spot your own favourite moments from Planet Angel's history.

Seb’s Funky Psy Forest is a unique art installation, Artist/Designer Seb, puts it best in his own words… “I love coming to Planet Angel and I love the fact that you do feel like you’re on a different planet. I wanted to create what the real Planet Angel would look like... with the creatures that live on it and also what those creatures would do. I just have an image of loads of Jelly babies raving it up…” How cool would it be if one section of the club was the Planet Angel forest”… great stuff!

We’re very pleased to welcome the creative input of our friends at Wonderland again. These guys were a welcome inclusion of both our Warehouse Party last year and the amazing New Year's Eve Party… The Time Travelers Clock is a space with huge numbers, hands, cogs and springs floating around, a space where time stands still, splits apart and really is all over the place!

To celebrate 10 years of us all gathering, we thought we’d collect your stories and make them into a Planet Angel Storybook! Chillout with a drink at the X Party and read wonderful tales of friendships being made and weddings and crazy happenings from the past! But don’t worry, if you prefer, find Chris, the wondering Planet Angel Storyteller who will beguile you with stories from the book without you lifting an eyelid!

For this special Party we’re very pleased to announce a unique VJ collaboration bringing together the talents of Mouseonthetelly, VJ Stickman and Witcher Sai and Lucifer... expect some very cool new VJ concepts and visuals that are being especially created for the X Party.

Thanks to Lauren and Ben we’re also unveiling a new History Wall with photos and words spanning the whole magical journey over the last decade… great for nostalgic reminiscing!

Ketishia and the girls are back with their magical hoop dancing and are joined by the lovely Poi dancer Chelsey… Andy and Nathan will be attending with a fine set of fluro paints for face and body painting and James is back to give you free massages to sooth away those dancing aches!
